It’s coming into Tick season (spring/summer), and at this time ticks are particularly prevalent. The Paralysis Tick’s habitat spans the east coast of Australia in bushy coastal regions. They are particularly nasty and professional advice should be sought; with specimens removed presented to your Veterinarian for identification, along with your pet.
Ticks should be removed as soon as you find them. Using tweezers, one can extract them by their heads and mouths. Try not to twist the tick when removing.
Early treatment of symptoms can reduce the potentially fatal affect on your pets. A daily inspection should be performed to prevent longer recovery, and cost.
