A short sports update for the Upper Hastings: the Long Flat Dragons are again in the Hastings District Rugby League for 2026, with continuity in the coach’s box.
According to the Port Macquarie News (January 2026), Travis Harris was retained as Dragons first-grade coach after leading the club to a preliminary final the previous season. The club has also publicly welcomed Harris continuing in the role for 2026.
That matters in a competition built on small towns and big rivalries — Beechwood, Comboyne, Laurieton, Kendall and the rest of the Hastings League draw. Home fixtures and results can shift with weather and double-headers, so the best place for live draws and ladders is the competition’s official listings (for example via Play Rugby League) and the club’s own channels.
